MATERIALS & SOURCING

Clear Roles Before Sampling

Material decisions can change MOQ, sample timing and cost, so they should be reviewed early.

Your Material Route

You can nominate a fabric, provide a supplier, send a physical sample, or specify composition, weight, stretch, waterproofing, softness, durability, color or other performance requirements.

Our Sourcing Support

We can help source suitable materials based on confirmed requirements, review available options for sampling and discuss practical alternatives where appropriate.

New material sourcing or specially produced materials may increase MOQ, sample time, cost or color limitations. These factors are reviewed before sampling whenever possible.

MOQ BY PRODUCT TYPE

MOQ Depends on the Product — Not One Number

Pet apparel is where we can offer the most clearly defined low-MOQ starting point. Other sewn pet products depend more heavily on materials, construction and supplier minimums.

Raincoats

Depends on fabric, construction and production requirements.

Around 30 pcs / size

Harnesses, Collars & Leashes

MOQ can change significantly with webbing, hardware, material, color and printing method.

Around 100 pcs / size

Beds & Mats

Typically higher than basic apparel because of material consumption, structure and production setup.

Around 500 pcs / style

Carriers & Bags

Final MOQ depends on materials, construction complexity and supplier minimums.

Around 300 pcs / style

Plush & Textile Toys

Depends on fabrics, filling, embroidery or printing requirements and production setup.

Around 600 pcs / style

SAMPLING, FEES & REVISIONS

Sample First. Confirm Before Bulk Production.

Sampling gives both sides a clear reference for construction, fit, materials, branding and product details before bulk production begins.

Sample Development in Progress
Sample Development in Progress Pattern · Material · Construction
Suitable materials available ~7 days Typical sample development time

Timing still depends on the product and confirmed requirements.

New material sourcing needed 10–15+ days Additional sourcing time may be required

Special materials or limited availability can extend the timeline further.

01

Sample Fee

Sample fees depend on product type, material availability, pattern work, branding processes and any special production setup.

02

Branding Setup

Embroidery, printing or other logo processes may require separate setup or development charges depending on the method.

03

Revisions & Credits

Revision costs depend on the reason for the change. Any applicable sample fee credit toward a bulk order is confirmed before sampling rather than assumed.

CUSTOM OEM FAQ

Common Questions Before Starting a Custom Pet Product Project

Clear answers about product development, MOQ, sampling, materials, branding and production before you send an inquiry.

Do I need a tech pack to start?

No. You can start with a reference photo, physical sample, sketch or clear product requirement. A complete tech pack is helpful when available, but it is not required for us to evaluate the next step.

What information can I send for a custom pet product project?

You can send reference photos, physical samples, sketches, tech packs, size charts, material requirements and logo artwork. The clearer the product reference and requirements, the more efficiently we can review feasibility and sampling.

What is the MOQ for custom pet apparel?

Pet apparel starts from 25 pcs per size. A typical starting order is around 100 pcs per style, depending on size mix, color mix, fabric and construction. Fabric supplier minimums may require a higher total quantity.

Is the MOQ also 25 pcs for harnesses, beds, bags and plush toys?

No. MOQ for harnesses, collars, leashes, beds, bags and plush or textile toys is project-based and is usually higher than basic pet apparel. Materials, hardware, colors, construction, printing and supplier minimums can all affect the final quantity.

How long does sample development take?

Samples typically take around 7 days when suitable materials are available. If new materials need to be sourced, sampling may take approximately 10–15 days or longer depending on material availability and product complexity.

How are sample fees and revisions handled?

Sample fees depend on product type, material availability, pattern work, branding processes and any special setup. Revision costs depend on why the sample needs to change. Any applicable sample fee credit toward a future bulk order is confirmed before sampling rather than automatically promised.

Can you help source fabrics and other materials?

Yes. You can nominate a fabric, supplier or material specification, or we can help source suitable materials based on confirmed requirements. New sourcing may affect MOQ, sample time, cost and color availability.

What logo and private-label methods can you provide?

Depending on the product, available methods include woven labels, care labels, hang tags, embroidery, heat transfer or printing, rubber patches, leather patches and custom packaging. MOQ and setup charges vary by method and supplier requirements.

How do you check quality during an OEM project?

Relevant materials, colors, sample details and branding requirements are confirmed before production. During production, key sewing, sizing, assembly and branding details are reviewed. Finished products and packing are checked again before shipment.

How long does bulk production take?

Bulk production lead time is confirmed after the product, quantity, material readiness, complexity and current production schedule are reviewed. We do not use one fixed production time for every category and order.

How do you handle confidential product references and brand information?

Reference images, samples, logos and product concepts are used for project evaluation, sampling and production communication. If your project has specific confidentiality requirements, please discuss them with us before development so the requirements can be reviewed and confirmed.

Should I choose Ready to Ship or Custom / OEM?

Ready to Ship can be a practical option when you want to test products with less development work or lower inventory commitment. Custom / OEM is more suitable when you need your own specifications, materials, sizing, branding or packaging and can meet the applicable project MOQ.
